Norway Is Being So Smart About Oil That Its People Will Be Set For Generations – Shit goes south in the US, Norway is looking pretty good. They created a special buffer fund to keep oil profits out of the economy by declaring them property of future generations / government forbid itself from using more than 4% of money for current infrastructure. They sent the money abroad into the financial market, essentially exiling it from Norwary. There is a clock in the Norwegian Petroleum Museum showing the fund at $890B, nearly $170k for each and every person.
